Our
Story
Preston Financial Planning was founded by Rebecca Preston to help
and educate people with the many financial issues and decisions that
we must confront in today's world. Our goal is to guide our clients
to the peace of mind that comes from understanding what their goals
are and how they can achieve these goals.
We view financial planning as a process of laying a foundation and
then building upon it piece by piece. It is our experience that people
get overwhelmed and discouraged by the many pieces that go into creating
financial health but, when they take the pieces one at a time, they
usually find them to be quite simple and doable.
In order to fulfill our mission we have a fee-only payment structure.
Unlike most financial advisors, we are paid directly by our clients
for the services we perform. We sell no insurance, no annuities, no
mutual funds - thus we receive no commissions. We take no referral
fees from other professionals. Our clients can trust us to give the
best advice based on their financial considerations, not ours.
In further fulfillment of our mission, we do not base our fees on
Assets Under Management. It is our belief that individuals and couples
with few assets need financial advice as much as wealthy people do
so we structure our fees accordingly. We anticipate that, with our
help, people with few assets can become people with many assets!
